Barbara Heck

BARBARA (Heck), Born 1734 in Ballingrane which is located in the Republic of Ireland. She is the mother of Bastian (Sebastian) Ruckle and Margery Embury. 1734, in Ballingrane (Republic of Ireland), daughter of Bastian (Sebastian) Ruckle and Margaret Embury m. 1760 Paul Heck in Ireland and they had seven children of whom four survived infancy d. 17 Aug. 1804 Augusta Township Upper Canada.

A biography typically includes the person who was a prominent participant of important events or who had a unique statement or ideas that were recorded. Barbara Heck, on the however, has not left writings or statements. The evidence of such items as her date of wedding is not the only evidence. The documents which were used by Heck to describe the reasons behind her actions and motives have been not available. Barbara Heck was involved fortuitously with the beginning of Methodism in Canada and the United States and Canada and her reputation is built on the inherent nature of an extremely successful movement or institution to glorify its beginnings in order to strengthen its sense of tradition and continuity with its past.
